Head office

The head office of Società Bancaria Ticinese is located on Piazza Collegiata 3, in Bellinzona.

It was built in 1960 on a design by the architect Augusto Jäggli, and extended in 1982 with the addition of the adjacent annexe. Although at the time it was seen as a bold, controversial project, it is now considered to be one of the most important pieces of Ticinese architecture of the post-war period. It is an expression of foresightedness, in which the old and the new live harmoniously side by side.
